Meet the team
Ellie
Owner
Ellie is 27 and from New Milton, currently living in Totton with her partner Chris, and pets Pippa the chocolate Labrador and Kiki the black cat.
​
She has been around animals since the day she was born - growing up with a pet-obsessed mum, their house was always a zoo! With horses, dogs, cats, chinchillas, hamsters, mice, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, fish and a tortoise.
​
As well as plenty of personal experience with animals of all varieties, Ellie also has over 15 years of professional and industry experience - volunteering and working at multiple riding schools and livery yards, two different kennels and catteries, and is currently shadowing and working with her dog training and behaviour mentors Beth and Libbi of Bull Breed Behaviourist.

Ellie founded Lab & Lead in 2019, finally fulfilling her dream and making a career out of working with animals after many years working office jobs and never really feeling at home, and she hasn't looked back since!

Emily
In 2022, Ellie welcomed Emily to the team to help with the influx of work she was so honored to be receiving. The two have been friends since they were tiny and actually know each other through horses!
Emily lives in New Milton with her husband and Border Collie, and works with Lab & Lead part time alongside her job as an interior designer.
Amelia
With another expansion and with Ellie expecting a baby in 2026, Lab & Lead welcomed Amelia to the team in 2025. Ellie and Amelia also knew each other through horses and reconnected through dogs!
Amelia lives in Mudeford and has two golden retrievers. She also worked various jobs before deciding to follow her passion and working with animals.
